Peter Dixon is Non-Executive Chairman of CCD Partners and a highly respected figure in the global chemical industry. He is widely recognised for his deep network across mid- and small-scale chemical businesses in Europe and the US and for his unparalleled strategic insight into the industry’s diverse niche market segments.

Peter began his career after completing a PhD in Biochemistry and Pharmacology at the University of Cambridge, joining ICI, where he held a series of increasingly senior roles over 14 years, ranging from petrochemicals and plastics to biotechnology. In the midst of this, he also spent two years as a biotechnology consultant at PA Technology.

He was subsequently head-hunted by Baring Brothers to establish and lead their global chemicals corporate finance practice, a role he held for a decade before founding his own advisory business, where he spent 14 years focusing on technology- and science-driven chemicals markets.

In his spare time, Peter has tried his hand at many sports – cricket, soccer, skiing, golf and more, but is still seeking one he is good at.
